Mr Deguara performed a laparoscopic fundoplication to repair a Hiatal Hernia. Throughout the diagnosis and subsequent follow up appointments Mr Deguara provided clear information and guidance on the condition and options for treatment. He was always happy to answer questions or to address concerns. The surgery was carried out to a high standard at the New Victoria Hospital and my recovery was as outlined by Mr Deguara. The surgery was a success and I have been able to stop taking the previously prescribed medication. I was a little surprised not to receive detailed post-operative nutritional guidance having had an operation on my stomach, but was able to access this information via the internet. Overall, I was very happy with the treatment provided by Mr Deguara and the care provided at the New Victoria Hospital.

I trusted Dr.Deguara from the first pre appointment on. He explained everything- surgery and risks. You can feel that it is really his intension that the patient is able to form his own opinion of the surgery. My surgery was short, I was not in pain afterwards and the wound heals very quick and without a remarkable scarf.

Very pleased, explained everything and my aftercare was faultless, both immediately after surgery and with 2 follow-up appointments, as required 2 scans to check all ok due to had few pain issues. Now well on road to recovery, back to gym and been discharged fully.
